SAINT LUCIA (March 11, 2016) – As the clock ticks towards the start of the epic 25th silver anniversary edition of the region’s most spectacular musical event – the Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival (#SLJAF), patrons are being reminded that the deadline for early bird specials expires as of midnight March 15th, 2016. With five more days remaining to expiration, patrons are urged to take advantage of the opportunity for guaranteed discounts before the deadline.

The special applies to tickets for main stage performances which run from Thursday, May 6 to Sunday, May 8th, 2016. The shows include The Jazz Showcase which this year features 12-year old child protégé, pianist Joey Alexander, Donald Harrison and Brian Lynch at the National Cultural Centre and Pigeon Island main stage performances stretching from Friday May 6 to Sunday, May 8th featuring performers like Omi, Teddyson John, Shaggy, Norman Brown,
Rick Braun, Kirk Whalum, Irvin ‘ACE’ Loctar, Kassav, Ronald ‘Boo’ Hinkson, George Benson, Air Supply, Kool & the Gangand Festival headliner Marc Anthony.
Thursday’s show is priced at US$46.00/EC$115.00, Friday US$52.00/EC$130.00 and Saturday and Sunday US$80.00/EC$200.00 per day before discounts.
A 10% bulk discount will apply to purchases of 20 or more tickets purchased online from April 1, 2016. The ten-day festival boasts a plethora of musical performances and art showcases throughout the island.
With a continued emphasis on the arts component, the ten day festival will pay tribute to Sir Derek Walcott – one of Saint Lucia’s two Nobel Laureates –through the play Omeros, produced by Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, London.
An Arts Village with a dedicated site in the north of the island will feature literary, visual and performing arts, while the acclaimed fashion show, “Hot Couture,” will return with a spotlight on Saint Lucia and the region’s cutting edge style.
